Canada Day is this Wednesday, July 1st, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate our nation’s birthday right here in Charlotte County!

Head to the St. Stephen Waterfront, where the festivities run from 10 until 2 with a vendor market, family activities, face painting, live Celtic music, a flag-raising ceremony, free cake, and a community BBQ. Be sure to wear your red and white!

In St. Andrews, the celebration lasts all day, beginning with a firefighters’ pancake breakfast, followed by the annual flag raising, live entertainment, arts, family activities, and plenty of community spirit throughout town. The day also features a special Canada Day concert by East Coast favourite Jimmy Rankin at the KIRA Amphitheatre.

Communities across the region, including Deer Island and Grand Manan, will also be marking Canada Day with local celebrations, making it a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family, friends, and neighbours while celebrating everything that makes Canada—and Charlotte County—such a special place to call home.

From all of us, have a safe, fun, and happy Canada Day!
