Child luring charges laid, other victims asked to come forward

Charges of child luring have been laid, and the RCMP are looking for more potential victims.

An investigation was launched in November 2023.

In May last year, officers searched a Campbellton home on Duke Street and seized several digital devices.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on May 14, 2026, and is facing charges numerous charges, including accessing child abuse and exploitation material, sexual interference, making sexually explicit material available to a child, child luring and sexual assault.

He is being held in custody and will appear in court again at a later date.

RCMP believe the man may have committed similar offences on others, and they would like to hear from other potential victims.

They say the man may have used the aliases Momo and Pookie to contact underage children via social media.

If you are a victim or have any information related to this incident, contact your local police.
