Search in Saint John River ends tragically

A sad ending to the search for a Saint John man.

Emergency teams have recovered the body of a 68-year-old man from the Saint John River.

Multiple media reports state a search was launched near Long Reach on the Kingston Peninsula on Tuesday morning, and his body was found a short time later.

RCMP say the man went canoeing on Monday, but did not return.

The Canadian Coast Guard, police and other emergency responders assisted with the search.
