Here’s 5 interesting things you can talk about this week with your family, friends and co-workers!

1: St. Stephen’s recognizable lighthouse was originally located beside the old tourist bureau on King Street, which had a nautical theme. It was moved to the waterfront and then eventually to the wharf, where it sits today.

2: Dogs can detect frequencies up to 65,000 Hz, while humans max out around 20,000 Hz.

3: While synonymous with the Netherlands, tulips are native to the Tian Shan mountains of Central Asia and were first cultivated by the Turks by 1000 A.D..

4: NBC unveiled the newest version of its peacock logo, which is still used to this day, 40 years ago this week.

5: Your index finger is controlled by muscles in the hand, not within the finger itself.
