Drop Anchor—Sunrise Seafoods Returns May 1

Sailing to Grand Manan Island soon? The East Coast Mermaid is happy to report that the island’s beloved Sunrise Seafoods is opening for the 2026 season on Friday, May 1st and you know this mermaid is ready for her first Sunrise Lobster Roll of the season!

If you’ve never been to Sunrise Seafood, here’s what you need to know:

🦞 The lobster roll is epic. It’s available in two sizes. Go big.
🐚 Their fried clams are amazing and pair well with a lobster roll.
🪹 Add a side of Gull’s Nest. These fried onions will rock your boat.
🐟 The halibut bites will also blow your mind.
💵 It’s cash only. Bring your sand dollars.
⛱️ Outdoor dining or takeout only.
🌊 They’re open 11am to 7pm. Don’t miss the boat!
