Brenda Mae Brown

1947 – 2026

It is with hearts full of love that we announce the passing of Brenda Mae Brown — a woman of extraordinary faith, warmth, and laughter who touched the lives of everyone she knew. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and raised on Campobello Island, Brenda was shaped from an early age by a selfless spirit and a deep love for family. Her beloved grandmother, Nana Calder, instilled in her the two things that would define her life: an unshakeable faith in God and an unwavering devotion to family — gifts Brenda treasured and passed on to every generation that followed.

Brenda married the love of her life, Manley Brown, and together they shared sixty-two beautiful years of marriage and raised three wonderful children. She was the glue that held her family together — always the first to show up, always the first to give. Her door, her table, and her heart were never closed. Nothing lit her up quite like the word “Grammy,” and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were, without question, her greatest pride and joy.

A devoted member of the United Baptist Church, Wilson’s Beach, Brenda served her congregation and community faithfully for many years — as a Sunday school teacher and church clerk, giving generously of her time and living out her faith in everything she did. Her love for the Lord was not simply something she believed; it was something she embodied, and she passed that living faith on to her family with quiet, steadfast grace.

Those who knew Brenda will never forget her laugh — unique, infectious, and entirely her own. It could light up any room and lift any heart, and it is one of the many things people speak of most when they speak of her. She was loved deeply by all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and love that will never fade.

Brenda is reunited with her beloved husband Manley, and her brothers Gary and Ricky Fournier. She is survived by her daughters Kathy (John) Brown and Darlene Howlett (late Joe), her son Richard (Lori), and her brother Ray-Lee Fournier, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She leaves behind six grandchildren — Christopher (Simone), Chase (Tabatha), Chad (Mallory), Tyler (Tina), Treigh (Madi), and

Jarvis (Dana) — and eleven great-grandchildren: Haylee, Rylan, Avery, Mason, Liam, Tyler, Carter, Aidan, Joseph, Brooks, and Murray.

Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 6-8 PM at the Wilson’s Beach Baptist Church (2400 NB-774, Wilsons Beach, NB E5E 1L5). A funeral service celebrating Brenda’s life will be held the following day, Sunday April 26, 22026 at 2PM.
