Here’s 5 interesting things you can talk about this week with your family, friends and co-workers!
Did you know that the original Charlotte County Hospital (The Chipman Memorial Hospital) in St. Stephen was one of the very first in New Brunswick to use x-ray technology? An x-ray machine was purchased in 1920, with funds raised through community donations! That tradition continues today with our annual Charlotte FM Radiothon, held every October!
Due to increased light and warmth, children actually grow faster in the spring than in other seasons!
Your nose hairs (which are called vibrissae) act as vital natural air filters; trapping dust, pollen, and bacteria to protect the lungs.
Grass is the world’s most abundant plant family (Poaceae), covering over 40% of non-polar land and even growing in Antarctica!
The most popular TV show 30 years ago this month was The Simpsons – which is also still airing new episodes today!
