One dead after Highway 1 crash in Apohaqui

One man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Apohaqui on Sunday.

Members of the Sussex RCMP responded to a report of an accident on Highway 1 just before noon.

Police believe the crash occurred when the vehicle left the highway and rolled several times.

The driver, a 61-year-old man from Central York Rural Community, was taken to hospital in critical condition.

He later died as a result of his injuries.

The Norton Fire Department and paramedics also attended the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
