1941-2026

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Bruce Alan Justason at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 10, 2026.

Bruce was born on July 16, 1941 in Pennfield NB, son of the late James Justason and Pauline (Gray) (Justason) Bullerwell and grandson to the late Enos Justason and Laura (Boyd) Justason.

A loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and best friend, Bruce is survived by his daughter, Laura (Kevin) Leavitt and by his son, Mark (Tracy) Justason all of Pennfield; his special friend and caregiver, Betty Anthony also of Pennfield; his grandchildren, Mariah Poitras of Alberta, Derek Leavitt (Abby Lockhart) of Pennfield, Jewels Poitras of Alberta and Tory Justason of Pennfield; two great-grandsons, Cohen James Tillapaugh and Huxton Leavitt; sisters, Susan (Gene) Hay of Nova Scotia and Dorothy (John) Carson of Quispamsis NB; brothers: Malcom (Sheila) Justason of Nova Scotia, Colin (Mary) Justason of Ontario, Ricky (Sherry) Justason of St. Stephen NB and Doug (Wanda) Bullerwell of Nova Scotia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife, Donna Doreen (Cook) Justason, and his parents, Bruce was predeceased by one grandson, Devin Leavitt; a granddaughter in infancy, Markie Justason; his brother, Vance and his wife Lillian Justason; as well as his sister, Judy and her husband Fred Isles.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Bruce’s wishes there will be no visiting or public services held. A private family interment service will be held at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Bruce’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
