Water Cooler Talk (December 22 – 28)

Here’s 5 interesting things you can talk about this week with your family, friends and co-workers!

1: Local Christmas Markets are rooted in history dating back to the 1800’s, when local rural farmers would bring poultry and other goods to sell on town streets before Christmas.

2: Mount Everest is still growing! Due to the continued collision of tectonic plates, it grows by about 4mm each year.

3:  The tradition of kissing under the mistletoe is believed to have originated in 18th-century England.

4: The Friends episode “The One With the Holiday Armadillo” aired this week in 2000.

5: We blink an average of 15-20 times per minute.
