The unexpected passing of Kathy Claudia Leavitt of Beaver Harbour NB occurred at her residence on December 5, 2025. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on October 1, 1966, she was a daughter of the late Vance and Joan (Stewart) Leavitt.

    A loving sister, aunt, niece and cousin, she is survived by her beloved siblings: Karen Kernighan (Brian Noddin) and Kevin (Laura) Leavitt, both of Pennfield NB, her nephew; Derek Leavitt (Abby Lockhart) of St. George NB, her niece; Amanda Kernighan (Josh Pitre) of St. Stephen NB, great nephew; Huxton as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved partner Burton Cooke, her brother Corey Leavitt, two nephews: Devin Leavitt and Jason Kernighan.

    Kathy will fondly be remembered for her love she had for her family and her obsession with shopping. She was an avid animal lover who especially loved her cats and her dog. Her kind heart and gentle soul will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

    Resting at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church, 33 Marsh Road St. George NB from where the service will be held on Tuesday at 2pm with Pastor James Berdan officiating followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. In Kathy’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County SPCA or a charity of the donors choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
