Video: Cory Morrow Finds Antique Axe Heads in St. Stephen

Over the past few years, the hobby of magnet fishing has gained a lot of popularity. The concept is simple: attach a strong magnet to a rope and begin dragging the bottom of waterways, to see what you can pull up. Not only have people found some really interesting things, but it’s become an increasingly popular way to clean up lakes and rivers, as well!

I spent some time magnet fishing at the mouth of Dennis Stream in St. Stephen and made some pretty interesting finds myself, discovering remnants of the old Axe Factory on the banks above.

Many of the pieces found were donated to The Charlotte County Museum.
