Passing directly through much of Charlotte County, the Coastal Link Trail is an easily accessible and well-maintained nature trail that provides a unique way to experience our community for cyclists as well as both hiking enthusiasts and those just looking for a casual stroll.

Stretching from the U.S. border in St. Stephen to Rockwood Park in Saint John, the trail invites you to explore the incredibly diverse landscape of our region. Along its shoulders, you can experience everything from rivers, to nature preserves and provincial parks, to walking on the sea bed at low tide. You can even connect to Campobello Island via ferry, where you may even be lucky enough to see a puffin at Herring Cove Provincial Park!

Highlights of the trail in Charlotte County include 14km of off-road greenway trail passing through St. Stephen, St. Andrews and St. George. For an easy walk, enjoy sunset along the 2km long St. Stephen Waterfront Trail. For more of a challenge head to St. Andrews to walk the 9km St. Andrews Town Loop section of the trail. The estimated time for completion of this trail loop at a leisurely pace on foot is about 2 hours.

Or for more of a test, try the St. George Trail with the connecting section to Lake Utopia! This mini adventure will carry you 11km in one direction, with a change in elevation of about 92 meters over the course of the trail. Taking an estimated 3 hours to complete by foot, you can reward yourself at the end with a little cool-down time at Canal Beach!
