Donna Mae Giggie

1938-2025

The passing of Donna Mae Giggie, formerly of Blacks Harbour NB, occurred at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen NB on October 2, 2025. Born in Canal NB on October 26, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Dorothy (Maxwell) Giggie. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Donna is survived by her daughter: Joanne Graham (Jamie) of Canal NB; her grandchildren: Spencer and Alexis; her sisters: Eleanor Van de Sande of Quispamsis NB and Janet MacElwain of Woodstock NB; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother-in-law, John Van de Sande.

Prior to retirement, Donna was well known in the community as she worked as a Nurse at the Fundy Health Center in Blacks Harbour for many years. Donna loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, spending time at the family cottage in Canal and watching her favorite team the Toronto Blue Jays play baseball. Her love and devotion to her family and community will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of caring and compassionate staff at Lincourt Manor and to a very special family who treated Donna as their own for many years prior to her living at Lincourt. We are very thankful to you all and appreciate everything you have done.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Donna’s wishes there will be no visiting. A graveside service will take place on Monday at 2:00 pm at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Cooke officiating. In Donna’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
