Boil water order for some St. Stephen residents

Some residents in St. Stephen will need to boil their water until further notice after a water main break.

The boil water order applies to residents at 30 Church Street and 1 to 25 Spring Street.

All water destined for drinking, preparing infant formulas and juices, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking or dental hygiene should be held at a rolling boil for one minute.

Toddlers and infants should be sponge-bathed, and caregivers need to ensure that no bath water is swallowed.

Municipal officials said the alert is expected to remain in effect until Friday.
