Shots fired at home near Minto: RCMP

Mounties are investigating after shots were fired at a home near Minto over the weekend

The incident happened on Route 690 in Sunnyside Beach around 1:25 a.m. Saturday.

Police were only notified of the shooting about 10 hours later, RCMP said in a news release on Sunday.

Investigators said the resident witnessed a white newer-style SUV driving away northbound on Route 690.

“The resident fled his home and was not injured during the event,” police said in the news release.

“Police are now investigating this is an isolated incident.”

Anyone who has video footage, witnessed the shooting or has information is asked to call Minto RCMP at 506-327-1820 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
