Coldest Night of the Year looks to raise $35K for Neighbourhood Works

Time to bundle up and get your winter boots ready. The Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser is happening on Saturday.

The event features a choice of a two- or five-kilometre walk to support those experiencing homelessness.

The goal is to raise $35,000 for Neighbourhood Works, a local charity dedicated to helping the homeless.

The event started in 2011 and has now spread to more than 200 communities across Canada.

The walk begins at 4 p.m. at 59 Union Street in St. Stephen.

Participants are advised to dress warmly if considering taking part in the community walk.
