Boil water advisory for Saint Andrews

Saint Andrews residents are being asked to boil their water.

An advisory was issued earlier today.

The water treatment plant on Harkness Road was taken offline overnight for a planned refurbishment.

It is now back online, but water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 to 2 minutes before consuming it, or using it for brushing teeth or washing fruits and vegetables.

The boil water advisory is expected to last up to 72 hours.
