Six RVs burned in suspected arson, RCMP seek public’s help

RCMP are calling on the community for help after six RVs were destroyed in a suspected arson in Grand Bay-Westfield.

Police say the fire started early in the morning on December 16 at a business on Highland Road.

Investigators believe a man broke into a storage facility and intentionally set fire to one RV. The flames quickly spread, burning five more trailers.

Authorities stated that no injuries were reported.

Officers added that the man fled the scene in a Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab truck with black rims and a chrome logo on the tailgate.

At the time, he was wearing an orange and black jacket with a blue hoodie underneath.

RCMP released the surveillance photos of the suspect, hoping someone could identify him.

Anyone with information is asked to call Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1029 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
