Police say charges have been laid following an alleged stabbing in uptown Saint John.
Officers were called to the area of Union and Waterloo streets around 3:15 p.m. Monday.
A 43-year-old man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and was later released.
In an update on Wednesday, police said a 27-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday.
He appeared in court on Wednesday and was charged with aggravated assault.
The accused remains in custody and has a bail hearing set for Thursday.
