UPDATE: 2nd person arrested after ‘firearm offence’

A second person has been arrested following a “firearm offence” in Charlotte County earlier this month.

Mounties said they responded to a report of a firearm being discharged in the Lawrence Station area around 6 p.m. on Jan. 10.

No one was injured, according to a news release issued by the RCMP.

Investigators turned to the public for help to locate a 28-year-old man and a 33-year-old man.

“These men are believed to be in possession of a firearm, and should be considered armed and dangerous,” said the release.

The 28-year-old man was arrested in Lake George the following day.

Police said the 33-year-old man was taken into custody in Grafton on Tuesday.
