Teacher rallies planned in Saint John, Sussex

Teacher rallies are planned on Monday in a couple of southern New Brunswick communities.

It is the latest in a series of rallies meant to raise awareness of their call to action for education.

New Brunswick Teachers’ Federation members will gather in front of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Trevor Holder’s office in Saint John at 4:30 p.m.

At the same time, there will be a rally in front of Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace’s office in Sussex.

Educators claim there has been a lack of support from the government, despite labour shortages.
