Saint John Police, Canada Post Seize Fentanyl

Police in Saint John say they have made a seizure of fentanyl in partnership with Canada Post.

On Jan. 5, police say officers and postal inspectors intercepted 34 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl.

“It is believed that the fentanyl was destined to be sold at street level in Saint John,” police said in a news release on Friday.

No arrests have been made at this point as the investigation into the seizure continues.

The force said members of the public are encouraged to contact police or Canada Post to report suspicious or illegal activity by mail.
