UPDATED: Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Shooting

Saint John police say a 26-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after an early morning shooting in the north end.

Police say they received multiple 911 calls about a shooting in the area of Cedar Grove Crescent around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where police said he remained in serious condition as of late Wednesday morning.

“As a result of the initial investigation, police believe that the parties involved are known to each other,” police said in a news release, adding that no arrests have been made.

As of 10:30 a.m., Cedar Grove Crescent remained closed between Parks Street and First Street.

Police tape could be seen blocking the Parks Street end of Cedar Grove Crescent.

One police car was also parked further up the street toward First Street.
