Storm Knocks Out Power To Some Grand Manan Residents

More than 100 residents of Grand Manan lost their power in Tuesday’s storm.

By late afternoon, N.B. Power’s website reported four unplanned outages in Grand Manan and White Head Island.

One outage impacted 92 homes and businesses.

The provincial utility listed estimated restoration times between 6:30 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.

A wind warning and a rainfall warning were both issued for Grand Manan and coastal Charlotte county.

Gusts of 90 kilometres were possible and up to 35 millimetres of rain.
