Flooding Possible In Several Communities By Wednesday

Several places along the Saint John River could be dealing with some flooding by the middle of next week.

River Watch officials said Friday three communities are expected to hit flood stage on Wednesday, including Fredericton and Gagetown.

Further downriver, Maugerville is expected to be within 40 centimetres of flood stage while Jemseg will be within 50 centimetres.

Water levels in the Saint John area are expected to remain steady over the next few days — just over a metre below flood stage.

River Watch is reminding residents working and living along the river to remain vigilant.
