The association representing New Brunswick physicians is asking employers not to require sick notes from their workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The New Brunswick Medical Society says physicians are seeing unnecessary visits from patients whose employers are demanding a sick note.
In a statement, president Dr. Chris Goodyear says sick notes place an unnecessary burden on the health-care system.
Goodyear says this is a time when we need to focus on address one of the most significant public health challenges of our time.
