Sea Dogs Clinch Playoff Berth

The Saint John Sea Dogs have clinched a berth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.

It is the first time they have advanced to the post-season since 2017 — when they won the league championship.

Playoff packages are now on sale, though exactly who the Sea Dogs will face and when has not yet been determined.

The Sea Dogs still have seven regular-season games left, including three at home.

Other teams which have also clinched a playoff spot include the Moncton Wildcats, the Charlottetown Islanders, and the Cape Breton Eagles.

Saint John has won the league championship three times — in 2017, 2012 and 2011. They also won the Memorial Cup title in 2011.
