Woman Pleads Guilty To Public Mischief

A west Saint John woman set to go on trial Monday on charges related to a fatal motorcycle accident has changed her plea.

Anne-Marie Savoy pleaded guilty to public mischief in Saint John provincial court. She will be back in court for sentencing on Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m.

Savoy was also charged with perjury and obstructing justice, but those charges are expected to be dealt with on sentencing day.

Her co-accused, John Ford, was sentenced in the fall for his role in the case.

The charges stemmed from a July 9, 2018, crash involving a motorcycle on Loch Lomond Road which claimed the life of 54-year-old Scott Robertson.

Savoy and Ford were arrested on the west side of Saint John in January 2019.
