Remembrance Day ceremonies will look different in many communities this year as a result of COVID-19.
The province says indoor and outdoor ceremonies are permitted but must respect current Public Health measures.
According to guidance from the province, proof of vaccination and masks are required for indoor ceremonies.
Vaccination proof is not required for outdoor services but physical distancing of two metres is.
St. Stephen
The Royal Canadian Legion St. Croix Branch 9 will hold a ceremony at the Cenotaph on Milltown Boulevard.
Although there will be no march this year, veterans and dignitaries will form up on parade in front of the Cenotaph at 10:50 a.m.
A ceremony will also take place at the Milltown Cenotaph at the corner of Queensway Way and Church Street around 11 a.m.
Saint Andrews
There will be no in-person service in the town of Saint Andrews this year.
A virtual ceremony will be televised on CHCO-TV and livestreamed to Facebook.
Saint John
The usual Remembrance Day ceremony at TD Station has been cancelled as organizers opt for smaller ceremonies.
A ceremony will be held at the King’s Square Cenotaph uptown starting shortly just before 11 a.m.
The service will include Last Post, two minutes of silence, The Rouse and The Lament, followed by the laying of official wreaths and the Royal Anthem.
On the east side, there will be a ceremony at Jervis Bay Ross Memorial Park (Graham Street) at 11 a.m.
There will be two separate services on the west side. The first will take place at the Field of Honour, Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery (1650 Manawagonish Road) at 9 a.m.
A second ceremony at the Branch 69 Legion Cenotaph (750 Manawagonish Road) will take place at 11 a.m.
Grand Bay-Westfield
The Royal Canadian Legion Bayview Branch 22 will hold a ceremony at the Cenotaph on River Valley Drive, with attendees asked to arrive by 10:30 a.m.
Woolastook Drive will be closed to traffic for the ceremony to allow for additional room for physical distancing.
Kennebecasis Valley
For the second year in a row, the Kennebecasis Valley Remembrance Day Committee cancelled the annual service at the qplex.
There will be a smaller ceremony in the parking lot at the Kennebecasis Legion (61 Marr Road in Rothesay) for invited guests only.
An informal volunteer-led ceremony will take place at the Cenotaph on the Rothesay Common at 10:45 a.m.
